Life University proudly conferred its doctor of chiropractic degree upon newest program graduates

October 11, 2018Life University (LIFE) takes pride in announcing the newest graduates of its distinguished doctor of chiropractic program. At the College of Chiropractic Commencement on Friday, September 21, 2018, LIFE awarded to 74 of its national and international students this esteemed degree at its Marietta, Georgia, campus.

University faculty and administrative officers welcomed attendees, friends and family to the function as University President, Robert Scott, DC, PhD, conferred the degree upon graduates, and Chancellor Guy F. Riekeman, DC, made inspirational remarks to the graduating class.

Tim Gross, MS, DC, vice president for academic affairs, made special recognition of three graduating class members, Valedictorian and Clinic Excellence Award winner Cassandra Liz Jimenez Fernandez, summa cum laude; Salutatorian Daniel Evan Shaw, summa cum laude; and Chiropractic Philosophy Distinction award winner Samantha Ann Kreinbring.

Also, a special moment during the commencement ceremony occurred when the sister and brother-in-law of Heather Ann Heenan, a student who tragically passed away during her 10th quarter of studies in the doctor of chiropractic program in August 2017, walked across the stage and received Heenan’s posthumously awarded diploma with the class in which she was set to graduate. They were given a standing ovation from the hundreds in attendance.

The Mission of the Life University College of Chiropractic, centered on the Vertebral Subluxation Complex, is to educate, mentor and graduate skilled and compassionate doctors of chiropractic to be primary care clinicians, physicians, teachers and professionals using the university’s core values as their foundation.
